I also found the team getting in the way a lot; at critical moments that can be very frustrating.- Some control issues: using cover can be tricky. Resistance) work great online. The video cut scenes are a nice touch. Some aiming controls are tricky too. Very frustrating to be doing well through 75% of a game, only to have it end prematurely due to a lost connection. THE GOOD:- Graphics are phenomenal.
Crystal clear, with good use of surround sound.- Gameplay: controls are relatively easy, although leaning against a wall can be tricky.- Interesting missions: the missions all have something unique that keeps your interest level up. Some lag issues during online play as well.- Team control is tricky, and they oftentimes don't listen to your commands. This is what Rainbow Six Vegas should have looked like. And this isn't a problem with my connection, because other games (ex. Controlling the flying camera and tank is tough too. Lighting, environment, menus, everything looks amazing.- Sound: excellent.
Typically each mission requires a different weapon set to effectively complete it.THE BAD:- Online mode constantly loses connection.
With this one all I ever got were 'Network Service Errors'. I couldn't find any answers or support online. I'm not as much into tactical shooters but I had some real fun with this game. I have my router set up just right (PS3 in DMZ) and I even tried forwarding the ports they list in the manual but no luck. Very frustrating. However I could never get online with it. I've never had a problem with any other PS3 game.
The game play is smooth, but controlling several differant things at once gets to be a hassel. This game was great for a while and it was fairly realistic. It has overall better game play, a VERY customizable character and still has a unique story line. If you want a game that is similar to this, but with better graphics and better ability to controll your team then I would go with Rainbow Six Vegas 2. however it had little suspense or anything else to keep it interesting. In addition the multiplayer was terrible.
Once your in, the game is awesome. If you do get into a game. But PS3 really competes. The single missions are fun.
I don't think so. I won't repeat what other reviewer's have said. With A LOT of different maps. You MUST play online against another human. frustrating. It randomly chooses a room.
You want realism. If you like the realism of Ghost Recon, then this is the game for you. Am I asking for too much. In other games you are able to "choose" the room that has less players and also "choose" a room that has not started game play. Almost always, the game tries to put you into a room that is full or a game is already in progress. The game is in charge of putting you into a room. stay there. Enjoy.
The graphics are very good. Ghost Recon fell short in the Online Main Menu though. Sometimes it takes 10-12mins to get into an room that is not full. I'm an ex PC gamer because PS1 and PS2 just didn't have the PC graphics. Or it lets you jump into a room where the game is already running. But actually getting into a game. Personally they are a good warm up for Online play. Once your in the game.great.
Other than that, the game is pretty good. Plus, the modern technology used in the game is really cool. In fact, they look better than RB6V. This is not PS2, Genesis or Nintendo. The characters and their uniforms are very detailed. It is a cool view from up top. It is definitely worth buying.for its low price. While the character is reloading, he moves his hand and everything.
Man, when you order them to fire at something, it hits with a purpose. The coolest one is the camera gun. There are a few flaws in the game. There are also some real-life features on the game, such as being able to hear wildlife and rocks falling from caves and trees blowing, after a grenade blows. The graphics are good, but not quite as great and animated COD4. It can be shot at. You can actually fire at a target around a corner. The weapons are great.
It is like something off of Robocop or something. When this game came to PS3, I slept on this game. The most notable flaw is the reloading. It can be controlled, as well. It is not COD, but almost as fun. Be careful.
When I first had a chance to buy it, I bought RB6V-2 and COD4. The problem is that the clip never comes out. The status of what is seen just comes up. Also, you can use UAV pod, which can track enemy locations from afar. The gunfights are pretty cool, much like RB6V. There is the clicking sound, as if the clip is being changed. Now, I decided to buy the game. This is sooooooo irritating because it is not realistic.
This can be annoying. I have not been able to play online because it is hard to get into games. I like RB6V-2 because it is more tactical. On the CODs, at least a player can get into a game, despite coming in late. The only problem with this is there are time, which you have to control the team and multiple vehicles. They definitely need to fix that on the next game. You can control tanks.
How can they have such a flaw on a PS3 game. Of course, your character has the special scopes, which can track enemies. I like to have close quarters and long distance battles. You can control helicopters, as well. You can control it to go anywhere. You can also get a mule, which is an armored ATV, which houses weapons and ammunition, in case you get low.
